02/11: DGNB-Award in silver

The „Humboldt-Carré“ in Leinfelden-Echterdingen received the DGNB certificate in silver. The office building, which was completed in July 2010 and that is conveniently located close to the Stuttgart airport and the autobahn A8, has been developed as a full subsidiary of the Stuttgart-based developer Bülow AG. On six floors it offers 13.950 sqm of high-quality rental space. An underground parking garage with 280 parking spaces on three levels is also part of the building. Main tenant is the software and consulting company COR & FJA AG.

The building stands out due to its high energy efficiency, for example by utilizing geothermal energy through auger cast piles as well as by its excellent thermal insulation. At the same time the interior offers a high level of comfort. The flexibility and the options for third-party use that are being assessed by DGNB as part of the economic quality also show above-average results.

The DGNB certification has been carried out by makon GmbH & Co. KG in cooperation with the Ebert-Consulting Group GmbH & Co. KG.
