06/11: Investor for first Passive House Civic Center

The tender process for the PPP project "Behördenzentrum Heppenheim" that was started in 2009 (as makon has reported previously) by the federal state of Hesse is now completed. makon has advised the Hessische Immobilienmanagement during the design and the tender process for the operational management services for the Passive House that will be constructed in the industrial area Tiergartenstrasse in Heppenheim.

Major challenges were the high requirements regarding the safety of operations and the availability of the object and the systems as well as the obligations of the future investor concerning the efficient and sustainable operation of the Passive House.
