The economic environment of this project was the strategic realignment of a pharma-, agro-, and specialized chemistry company with headquarters in Basel, Switzerland. One fundamental task included the structural and economical optimisation of the company’s premises with approx. 54,000 m² with a heterogeneous mix of buildings and manufacturing facilities. Especially for the property assets becoming unnecessary in terms of future operations use-concepts had to be created.
In this context, makon acted as the Corporate Real Estate advisor. The analysis included, among others, market value assessments of the property areas that will no longer be necessary to the company, redevelopment concepts and alternatives of utilization, as well as the estimation of the respective economical effects.
